Throughout the year, we host a variety of horse shows and clinics including Ranch, Hunter/Jumper, Open, Dressage, Youth, and Fun Shows.
Everyone is welcome to join!
We have great trails throughout our 60 acres of beautiful woods. We recently added a few new ones to explore!
We also offer: horse walkers, hot water wash bay, meeting room, 4-H club

ALL the horse barns have new siding and roofs, as well as, new windows for our horses to have a great view and fresh air.
The large outdoor arena has new footings and arena fence and our trails are open PLUS we added a few more!
Next projects include:
Paddocks and fencing, repurposing the foaling barn, and more!
We are thrilled to partner with Huntermark Farm to offer Hunter/Jumper camps, lessons and shows.
We host an annual Fundraiser Horse Show where 100% of the proceeds are donated to New Kingdom Trailriders.
We take great pride in giving back to our horse community and what better way to do that than partner with NKT!
We are honored to host a clinic with our new friend Heather Wilson-Roller.

She offers customized lessons for riders of all ages and experiences.
We are excited to welcome Jonathan Holling - a top international three-day event rider and winner of the 2012 Bromont CCI.
Jonathan has competed through the Advanced and (now) CCI level. He wears many hats - upper-level competitor, trainer, coach, and event organizer. Along with his wife, Jennifer Holling, who also rides at the upper levels of eventing, he runs Holling Eventing in Ocala, Florida where they have brought several partners to the top levels of the sport.
Jon began his upper level journey as a working student for Peter Gray and has trained with some of the greats, like David O’Connor and Leslie Law. For the past 20 years he has been a mainstay at the top levels, competing in both North America and Europe. He has also served as the Area IV Young Rider Team coach, chair of the USEA Cross-Country Safety Sub-Committee, and vice chair of the USEF Eventing Sport Committee.
Lee and Jenny acquired the equestrian center in 2019 and since have started on several improvement projects throughout the property. They are experienced ranchers who are honored to be a part of the long and rich history of this beautiful place.
Justin has a strong background as a facility manager and is an accomplished trainer, especially in the area of ranch riding. After he earned his bachelor degree from Southern Illinois University, he continued with horse training. Justin, along with his wife, Erica and son, Wyatt, have called Black Spur home since 2019.
Micki & Copper joined the team in 2020 with great enthusiasm! Micki graduated from Black Hawk College with an Equine & Horse Science Technologies degree. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in photography from Morningside College. She is from the QC, close to her family and delighted to be the Assistant Manager!
We added Audra to the team in 2020 to run the web & social media sites. She grew up with horses and studied Business at WIU. Her husband, Aaron, and their one year old, Harrison, keep her on her toes and laughing constantly. They have called the QC home for five years now and love being apart of the Black Spur family.
